SIM Happiness

In the game SIMS you have to keep your Sim happy. One way of accomplishing this was to give them an aquarium.
To accomplish, click on the fish tank and select something like "enjoy."
Voila! Sim is happy!

Fish are certainly enjoyable.
Of you play your cards right they can be quiet, low maintenance, affordable, purple friendly pet. Or decoration.

I prefer to think of them as pets.
Mine have names and I give a shit about their feelings and well being.
They are living creatures after all.

I've relocated their home to the corner of my room. A pleasant, zen place for them to be.

I think we will all benefit.

The Past is Now

Today is supposed to be the Rapture, again.
I went shopping; having a get together tonight.

At the market I see these: eggsina foam carton.
I have not seen this since I was a wee tot. OK maybe not that long ago but I'm pretty sure not since I lived in the Mid-West

My surprise does not stop there.
The market is a pretty good farmers market you're market. Local and organic produce, vegan food (including vegan pizza rolls!!), hippy doesn't, earth friendly soaps, etc. etc.

Why foam packaged eggs?
Why here and why now?

And what the hell?

Fancy Sink

Conference in Costa Mesa.
Yes, I went to a conference. I know, it does make me seem more like a real adult but I assure you I am still a pretend adult.

This fancy row of fancy towels is fancily presented in a semi-fancy hotel conference area bathroom in a fancy hotel.

Photo worthy IMO.

I got a t-shirt, some pens, a reusable bag, a fancy notebook (I actually have one from whoever went last year that I use as my cookbook), some of those glasses cleaning cloths; an inJEANous schwag idea.

Oh yeah and I learned a lot and made connections.and got our company some kind of VIP status when this company.

But srlsy, it's all about the schwag.

Poor thing does not run well and was not getting used, so it was stated that it is Not Enjoyed.

Sadly, later that night someone crashed into it (yes, while it was parked) and it is now officially broken.

It's a Camel!!!!

I saw this plushie you at Khol's (again with the weird store) and I HAD to have it.
I thought, "awesome! A cuddly toy camel! I need a new cuddly toy anyway cos Kitty likes them."

The toys are at the check out (for impulse buyers like me) and are for some charity so they are only 5$.

So I grab a camel and go to check out.
I say, "I would like to buy this camel please."
The girl at the counter was amused by my excitement about the camel and asked, "and what animal is this?"

I said, "it's a camel!"
"... It's lt's a llama."
"Ooohhh... Your right! There's no humps!"
Laughter ensued.

Whatever, it's a camel.

Ne Op Opping

K and G are moving to MD which sucks.
I've spent the last two years of my life ignoring my friends, and I I've really missed out.
Luckily my friends still like me. That makes it easier for me to sores my guilt and be at least a somewhat better friend.
Also it is lucky (for me) that K has tons of clothes she does not want to drag across the country with her.
I love me some clothes!! And I freely offer my love to second hand clothes. Its probably my favorite kind of clothes.

Driving up to The Valley: about $5.
Bunch of free stuff: $ for trash bags.
Realization that I have awesome friends and a pretty awesome life: priceless.

I went with Jn and her sister to Operation Gratitude Saturday morning. What happens here is that a bunch of people pack up thousands of boxes of random shit to send overseas to a bunch of random troops.

Would this be considered a Mitzvah?
I almost felt like a dick doing it.
Here I am, at home eating delicious salads while there's people over there getting blown up for who knows what.

I mostly hope that at least some of them open these boxes and get a laugh at some of the random shit.

Laughing seems more important that clean socks.

Discount Holiday

Friday night is egg dyeing night!
Just add about 7 clearance egg dyeing kits, 40 eggs, 9-ish people, and some Sailor Jerry (mostly for me cos I love drinking).

The boxes were confusing and each came with different confusing accessories, the dye tabs looked like X, and we had no idea what colors they were supposed to be.

Good times. Lots of egg salad.
